Support for ARA

The artists and photographers wish to thank our supporters for giving to the Abandoned Rural America project.

Our organization of artists and photographers have created this exhibit to honor the American small family farmer and to bring awareness to our communities of the historical value that is inherent with the contributions that farmers have made to our country’s culture as well as its precious food source through the arts. We’ve produced many art pieces, in paint, pen & ink, photography, models, works in clay, and a video production to present to the public. To date we’ve presented 3 major exhibitions in Milledgeville, Buckhead, and Sautee-Nacoochee, GA. We have also made presentations to civic groups and school children.

Our intention is to present the exhibition, video, etc. to other states as we get funding for travel, lodging, set-up etc. We also are preparing to upgrade our video presentation to a broadcast level which is going to entail an upgrade of equipment and some professional assistance.

Since the majority of our artists and writers are originally from other areas, from Michigan and California to Massachusetts and Mississippi, we have rural ties with most of these United States.

With donations from wonderful folks like you, we can eventually expand the scope of our exhibitions to reach many more communities across our great country.
